The trademark element of streetwear culture and style, the sneaker has made a rather loud and audacious entrance into the realm of high fashion. ‘Sneaker culture’ and its followers called ‘sneakerheads’ have resulted in most fashion houses and labels offering high-end sneakers to meet the demand, such as notable figures and brands Virgil Abloh, Supreme, Niké and Adidas.

SPORTIF

Perhaps the most effortless style to put together, it can be worn as a traditional sporty look, matched up with other cult activewear or as part of an entire Niké, Adidas, or Puma ensemble. You can wear it for the gym, a walk, or a Sunday brunch, and this athletic aesthetic is a cool, casual look.

JEANS AND JOGGERS

This combination often gets a bad rap because everyone’s dad probably sported it first, but dad fashion doesn’t mean un-cool. There is no doubt that this look can be easily customised to suit the individual, and it may not even be jeans – it could be any pair of pants you deem suitable for the occasion.

WITH SKIRTS AND SHORTS

Sneakers in warmer seasons are definitely my number one go-to, especially when pairing up with skirts and shorts. Play it up or play it down with skirts, or add a bit of kicks chic to your next denim shorts outfit.

WITH A DRESS

Synonymous with the sneakers-and-skirts combination, sneakers-and-dresses is fast becoming a trendy look in the influential social circles of fashion bloggers and off-duty models. It made headway in the fashion industry since its introduction in the early 2000s, and now you can catch Leandra Medine, Jeanne Damas, Kaia Gerber, and even the Hadid's and Jenners wearing this style.

SNEAKERS AND SUITS

This look showcases dynamism in style. With the suit making a comeback, it comes as no surprise that this combination of traditional and contemporary has been taking the world by storm, worn by attendees of fashion weeks worldwide. This look is not limited to the style icons of NYC and London, and you can definitely pull it off too.

Despite the overall look and style varying over the years, a pair of awesome sneakers is still one of the crucial modern wardrobe staples for everyone. Along with the many combinations of mixing and matching, there is no doubt this sneaker love is here to stay. Thank the fashion gods for that.

Let's face it, we all just really love the comfort of a great pair of sneakers!
